What's the role?
As a Senior 2D Game Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 2D visual assets for mobile,online and social games. This role is ideal for an experienced artist with strong illustration skills, a deep understanding of game art styles and hands-on experience delivering production-ready assets that enhance gameplay and player engagement.
You will work closely with the Creative Head / Team Lead, along with game designers, animators, developers, and product teams, to bring creative concepts to life while ensuring visual consistency, technical feasibility and performance across platforms.
This is a Kolkata-based role with no travel requirement, offering creative ownership, stability and long- term growth opportunities.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Create high-quality 2D game art assets, including characters, environments, backgrounds, props, icons, and UI elements.
- Develop concept art, sketches, and final production-ready assets aligned with defined art direction and visual styles.
- Design in-game and marketing creatives for mobile (iOS/Android), online, and social games.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, animators, developers, and product teams throughout the production lifecycle.
- Ensure all assets are optimized for performance, resolution, and platform-specific requirements.
- Maintain strong visual consistency across gameplay, UI, and promotional materials.
- Incorporate feedback from the Creative Head / Team Lead and internal stakeholders while meeting production timelines.
- Follow established asset pipelines, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
- Stay updated with evolving game art trends, styles, and player expectations.
What's required from you?
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university (formal education must be supported by a strong game-art portfolio).
Experience & Professional Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a 2D Artist in gaming or interactive media.
- Proven experience creating game art assets for mobile and/or online games.
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight production timelines.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in fast-paced production environments.
